Hercules beetle insect foundation paper piecing pattern.

Who doesn't like a Hercules beetle? They are a species of rhinoceros beetle and they are huge (upto 3.5 inches!). And they can fly! This beetle would look amazing as a stand-alone piece and could also be encorporated into a larger quilt.

This pattern contains a few small segments so is great for an andvanced foundation paper-piecer. The pattern will produce a block that is approximately 12x8 inches. The PDF also includes instructions to scale-up the pattern to make a quilt of any size.

My Granddaughter loves Hercules Beetles so I knew she'd love this pattern. I made a wall hanging for her to hang in her toy area. Love the detail on the pattern. I usually size up my paper pieced patterns to make the smaller pieces easier to sew.
